Cat Sleeping for Long Hours: Lazy or Sick?

Cats that sleep between 12 and 18 hours a day are not lazy. Instead, this reflects their natural behaviour as crepuscular animals, meaning they are most active at dawn and dusk. Their extended sleeping hours help conserve energy and are considered normal, provided they remain active, healthy, maintain a good appetite, and interact as usual.
