SERDANG, 21 July – The University Veterinary Hospital (UVH), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FPV), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), welcomed a delegation from Pet World Nutritions Sdn. Bhd. on 16 July 2026. The visit aimed to provide exposure to UVH's facilities and operations as a benchmarking exercise for the future development of a teaching hospital in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK).

The delegation, led by Ms. Heng Y Hua, Project Manager of Pet World Nutritions Sdn. Bhd., together with company representative, received a briefing on the hospital's facilities, layout, and operational workflow. They were also introduced to the operations of various departments and the integration of clinical services that support the delivery of comprehensive veterinary care.

During the visit, the delegation toured the client reception area, consultation rooms, operating theatres, inpatient wards, pharmacy, and diagnostic imaging facilities. A briefing and discussion session was also held to provide a comprehensive overview of the hospital's operations and to address questions raised by the delegation.

According to the Deputy Dean of Hospital, Prof. Dr. Mohd Hezmee Mohd Noor, "We hope this visit will contribute meaningfully to the planning and development of a future teaching hospital in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK)." He also welcomed the visit and expressed his hope that it would provide added value to all parties involved.

Overall, the visit reflects UVH's commitment to sharing its expertise and best practices with industry partners and higher education institutions. Collaborative initiatives such as this are expected to strengthen the development of veterinary education while supporting efforts to establish modern, comprehensive, and competitive teaching hospitals.
