SERDANG, 26 May – The University Veterinary Hospital (UVH), Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FPV), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), organised the “Kursus Pengendalian dan Latihan Mesin Vcheck V200” on 16 June 2026 at the UVH Meeting Room and Makmal Diagnostik Klinikal. The course was conducted to strengthen the competency of laboratory personnel in operating veterinary diagnostic equipment and to enhance the efficiency of diagnostic services at UVH.
The course focused on the use of the Vcheck V200 analyser, which is utilised to perform rapid diagnostic tests in support of clinical case diagnosis and monitoring with greater efficiency and accuracy. The training covered equipment operation, basic maintenance, the use of test kits, and the proper interpretation of test results.
A total of 10 participants attended the programme, comprising Veterinary Officers, Assistant Veterinary Officers, and Medical Laboratory Technologists. The programme also received support from My Vet Care Sdn. Bhd., which provided technical training to facilitate the successful implementation of the course.
The training session was delivered by Mr. Mohamed Redzuan Abbas, Technical Support Executive from My Vet Care Sdn. Bhd. According to him, “Proper operation of the Vcheck V200 not only helps ensure the accuracy of test results but also improves the efficiency of diagnostic processes and extends the lifespan of the equipment through systematic maintenance practices.” He also emphasised the importance of understanding the correct use of test kits and the interpretation of results in supporting high-quality veterinary diagnostic services.
Through the organisation of this course, UVH remains committed to strengthening its veterinary diagnostic capabilities through the adoption of modern and effective laboratory technologies. Programmes such as this are expected to enhance staff competency, ensure the accuracy of diagnostic test results, and support the delivery of quality animal healthcare services to clients and the veterinary community.
